North Fork artist Bob Kuhne specializes in local scenes throughout the
area. His paintings are on display at the Old Town Art & Crafts Guild
on the Main Road in Cutchogue, where he has been serving as President
for the past 14 years. He also exhibits at Fairs on Long Island and New
England and has won several awards for his work.
He was recently commissioned to do an original painting of “The
Trubisz Little House”, an early Polish farmhouse of historical
significance that has been moved to Hallockville.
Bob has no formal training but has been painting since he was a
teenager, encouraged by his grandmother who began painting when she
was 80 years old. He stresses the importance of children becoming
interested in the Arts and has started an Annual Young Artists Contest
at the Guild to achieve this.
In addition to his paintings, he also creates original stained glass lamps
and windows, and handmade wood-crafted items.
