Linda Burke, Photographer
My love of photography started when I was quite young. A Kodak Brownie camera as a birthday gift turned into a life long passion for capturing the beauty that I saw and experienced each day. My world grew busy with children, jobs and all the obligations that surround them but I always had a camera nearby. It is important to me to find the right light, not only to create a good picture, but also to evoke a feeling in the viewer that would tell a story.
I've lived on the North Fork for over 50 years and found the landscape and light to be like no other. Although my creative side took me in a direction of botanical and floral design, I feel it only enhanced my photography as my experience grew. I have taken classes and attended workshops whenever possible. The most recent was a class in Fine Art Nature Photography given by Kathleen Clemons.
